Coming along
I'm not sure if I'm signed in correctly or what name I'm coming up under since it never asked for that or password. Oh well, I don't get blogs. I'm finally starting to make inroads. I'm managing 900 words each day. At this rate, I should be caught up by mid-March. Realistically, I'd like to be on track by May. I'm finishing up my mystery class for Barnes and Noble, which has helped boost my count. I start the Romance Writer's class on Monday. I'm on track with my fiction reading. Reading an American Romance has inspired me to not fuss as much with my wording. The book was so cheesy and so poorly written I was literally calling my husband at work to tell him about it. I figure I need to lighten up on myself. I like my story, which is making the difference. Deirdre is a twenty-three-year-old product of the foster care system just trying to make a better life for herself when she meets fourty-seven-year-old Grant, a widower with two children resolved not to squander his life any more. They meet and have a sweet romance where they help each other reach their goals, but with a bit of static from family and community over the age difference.
We're also looking for a new house. That takes up a ton of my time. Wish me luck!
